Who is James Ryan Wells?

James Ryan Wells is an independent musician currently living in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

James was born in Saint Petersburg, but he spent most of his childhood living in Wilmington, North Carolina. Art has always had a special place in his heart and Wilmington was the perfect setting to inspire and grow his creative talents.

Prior to performing music, James participated in theatrical productions with the Opera House Theatre Company. It was during his time that he realized his infinite passion for music performance.

He attended East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina, and originally studied Musical Theatre Performance but took a change of course and graduated with a degree in Business Finance. James continued to write music throughout his college career and sporadically performed at open-mic nights across eastern North Carolina.

After college, he packed his bags and moved to Saint Petersburg to pursue a professional career. During his time in “Florida's Sunshine City,” James has showcased his musical talents by opening for local bands. These creative endeavors, inspired him to focus more on his passion for music, which brings him to where he is today.
